I stayed here a few years back, it was a husband and wife who ran the place. The husband was reserved while the wife was a great host. I also smoked pot out of the sky window with a lovely view of the town. If the hosts are reading this, I’m one of the scousers who were working away in callington. Stayed there for about 3 weeks
Me and my boyfriend stayed for a night on our way back home after visiting Cornwall, the staff is very nice and kind, the welcome instructions are well explained, easy to get there, free parking space outside of the accomodation. The room was bi and clean with fresh clean towels, the bed was very comfy and quiet area. The only thing that was a bit confusing was that the room was advertised as having an external private bathroom, however,this was not private, it is shared and it should mention it or specify this.
Lovely little guest house and really good value. Spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated, and very comfortable . Will definitely come again when in the area.
Solo trip for a course over a weekend! Everything was fab, communicating no problems (I know I was a pain keep messaging, but as I was travelling a distance)…. Nothing too much trouble! I loved my stay and booked again for follow up stays throughout the year! Highly recommend. Felt safe and relaxed.
Wonderful, spacious and super comfortable top floor room with king size bed.. we only stayed one night but I would have been super comfortable to stay whole week. The top floor room is top notch and the owner is really friendly and attentive to details.. full English breakfast was to die for and brought directly to your room. Would definitely stay again!
The Chantry was a perfect place for us to stay for a Callington wedding. The host was helpful with communication before arrival and accommodated us arriving earlier in the day so we could get ready. The rooms are bright, clean and private at the top of the house. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will stay again for sure.
An excellent stay, a chance find at short notice. I had an immaculate room and en-suite bathroom, with lovely little thoughtful touches for added comfort. A very comfortable bed provided a restful night. Will definitely come back if the opportunity arises. Road noise is a little loud with the windows open, but easily fixed with earplugs. Lindsey was very welcoming and hospitable, runs a very professional little business.
My second stay here at the Chantry. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped and it is quite clear this is a passion to the owner and host Lyndsey. He is most accommodating and helpful and I would have no problem recommending this place to anyone who wanted somewhere to stay in this area.
